• If certain classes that fall under a particular term don’t require a Final Exam, no further steps are required: the teacher can simply ignore the Exam class, and it does not need to be concluded or deleted. In other words, if an Exam Term is not used for a particular class, it will have no effect on the final grade, and each Quarter will be worth 50% of the class grade for the Semester. 
  • If a class does have a Final Exam, the teacher will need to enter at least one Final Grade in the Exam Term class

  • If a class does have a Final Exam, the teacher will need to enter at least one Final Grade in the Exam Term class  

  • Using any Assignment Type (other than Extra Credit). Teachers do not need to create a brand new Assignment Type for the Exam Term. In this case, if the Exam Term was set to be worth 20%, then the Quarters will be worth 40%.

  • When running Report Cards, for grade levels or classes that do not use the Exam Term, you can exclude it from the selection process to prevent it appearing as a column on the Report Card.
