In Gradelink, the GPA for Parent Terms is calculated by averaging together the class grades from each term and then converting those averages into GPA values.

In this example, the grades from Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 are averaged together into a Semester grade, and then the Semester grade is converted into the Semester GPA.

It's important to point out that Gradelink does not average the GPA values for each term together to produce the GPA for a Parent Term. In the example above, averaging together the Quarter 1 GPA (2.60) and the Quarter 2 GPA (2.86) would have produced a Semester GPA of 2.73, which is not accurate based on the method Gradelink uses.
