1. Click the Classes tab on the left sidebar.

2. Click on the gear button to the right of the Grade Scale drop-down menu.

3. Select the Grade Scale to be modified from the menu on the upper right side of the page.

4. Under Grade Symbol, enter in a letter grade such as "A" or "O". If using a standards-based grade scale, a "4" or "5" can be used in lieu of a traditional letter grade.

5. Under Grade Description, enter in a brief description of the Grade Symbol, such as "O" represents "Outstanding". This description will appear inside the grade scale legend if "Show Percentage Grade" is unchecked.

6. The Grade Order is the order that the Grade Symbols will appear. The highest mark should have the lowest Grade Order value, and vice versa.  For example, an "A" should have a "1" and an "F" should have a "5".

7. The Lowest Percentage value determines the lowest possible percentage a student must earn to receive that grade. This is required even if "Show Percentage Grade" is left unchecked, and does not necessarily mean that a percentage grade will appear. The percentage value entered is used by Gradelink to average Grade Symbols based on assignment grades. To enable rounding on assignments and overall grades, enter half a percent lower that the desired value.  For example, if an "A" is worth 90-100%, but  rounding is desired, 89.5% should be entered into the Lowest Percentage field, and the grade will round up to a 90%.

8. Letter Grade Conversion is the percentage that will be entered into a teacher's grade book if the teacher chooses to grade assignments with letter grades as opposed to points or percentages. If the value entered into this box is 95% for an "A", then if a teacher gives a student an "A" on an assignment, the grade will be converted to a 95%.

9. The GPA Value box will only apply if the "Calculate GPA" option was previously checked. Here you can enter the grade points that the Grade is worth.  For example, an "A" is typically worth 4 points, a "B" is worth 3 points, etc.
