Note: Gradelink staff will help configure report card profiles for you during the Implementation process. If you would like to make changes to your profiles, we highly recommend consulting Gradelink staff first to avoid accidental formatting errors.


Every report card template in Gradelink has its own unique list of options that control the visibility of certain elements on the report card.


Regardless of which template you're using, you can access these options by clicking Report Card Options on the report card generation page:

The remainder of this article is divided into sections for each report card template and also includes sections for options that appear on multiple templates:



Letter-Landscape Options



NameDescription/Notes
Show Grade PlacementShows the Student's grade level for the upcoming academic year. Can either be specified using the Placement drop-down menu or left blank and filled in later manually.
Show Numbered CommentsShows Numbered Comments, as well as the Numbered Comments Legend.
Show Percentage GradeShows a Percentage Grade in addition to the existing Letter Grade for each subject. Will not display if the grade scale assigned to a particular class doesn't support Percentages.
Show School AttendanceShows School/Daily Attendance for students enrolled in a Daily Attendance class. Not all values on the attendance sheet will appear; this can be customized in the Settings tab.
Show Term CommentsShows Term Comments for students enrolled in a Term Comments class.
Show Term GPAShows the GPA achieved by the Student in each term. Will also include a 'year average GPA' if the setting "Show Year Average Grade" is enabled.
Show Worship AttendanceShows Worship Attendance for students enrolled in a Worship Attendance class.
Show Year Average GradeShows the average grade for terms included on the report card. Will only be calculated for concluded terms.



Multi-Term Options

Page Break Options

Normally, Report Cards in Gradelink will automatically split content onto multiple pages as necessary. The Page Break options allow you to manually tell Gradelink when to insert a page break: simply select a Class or Class Type from the drop-down menu, and a page break will be inserted AFTER the selection.


Page Break Options are available for the following templates: Multi-Term, Multi-Term 2.

For example, if you select "Term Comments", then the page break will occur AFTER the Term Comments section of the report card.

Report Order Options

Gradelink divides report card content into four 'blocks': 

  • Standard Classes
  • Custom Classes
  • Term Comments
  • Attendance

This is the default order, but it can be adjusted based on the needs of your school using the Report Order Options.


Report Order Options are available for the following templates: Letter-Landscape, Multi-Term, Multi-Term 2, Tri-Fold 3.

Custom Classes Report OrderIncludes grades for classes with custom class types.
Term Comments Report OrderIncludes comments entered for Term Comment classes. Can be constricted to a specific character limit.

PDF Settings

PDF Settings are available on the following templates: Letter-Landscape, Multi-Term, Multi-Term 2, Tri-Fold 3



NameDescription/Notes
Page Size
Allows you to specify the type of paper you'd like the PDF to be based on. Options include Default (let Gradelink choose), Letter, Legal, and A4.
OrientationDefines the Page Orientation when generating a PDF version of the report card. Options include Default, Landscape, and Portrait.
Left MarginDefines the margin between report card content and the edge of the paper.
Right Margin
Top Margin
ScaleReduces the amount of space on the page that the report card will take up.
